Trauma and PTSD

Experiencing trauma can have a lasting impact on both mind and body. For some, the effects may appear immediately, while for others symptoms surface months or even years later. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can include flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, sleep difficulties, heightened anxiety, and challenges in relationships. At Two Trees Psychotherapy, we recognize the weight of these experiences and provide specialized care to help individuals move toward healing.

Our clinicians are Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II), which means we are trained in understanding the complex ways trauma affects people and in using evidence-based approaches for recovery. This advanced certification reflects our commitment to offering care that is grounded in both clinical expertise and compassion.

We are also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), one of the leading evidence-based modalities for treating trauma and PTSD. EMDR helps the brain reprocess painful memories so they can be integrated rather than avoided or re-lived. For many people, this process reduces distress, improves daily functioning, and supports long-term resilience.

Our work is confidential, trauma-informed, and person-centered. We aim to provide a safe space where individuals can process their experiences at a pace that feels right, while gaining strategies to restore balance and wellbeing. Free consultations are available to explore whether this approach feels like the right fit.
