The free consultation is a brief (15-20 minute) phone conversation that provides the opportunity to ask questions of us and our approaches, as well as for us to discuss your concerns and hopes for therapy. Clients have found this helpful to determine if we may be a good fit or not.
You may be covered by your extended insurance for psychotherapy only if their insurance plan covers treatment by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). Every extended insurance plan is different so you need to inquire with your insurance provider directly to learn whether you are covered.
Yes. We strongly believe in accessible and affordable mental health services. These spots are limited and we do offer a waitlist when they are full.
We accept payment upfront at the time of your appointment via cash, credit card or e-transfer.
Your receipt can be submitted to your insurance policy to receive your claim. We do not have the ability to directly bill your insurance policy for you at this moment in time.
Please check with your insurance provider prior to booking an appointment if you hope to be reimbursed for session fees.
“In order for a profession to be GST/HST exempt, that profession must be regulated in at least 5 provinces. Counselling/Psychotherapy is now regulated (or becoming regulated) in 5 provinces. However, an application must be made to the Minister of Finance, it is not automatic. CCPA is in the process of completing the application and requesting a meeting.”

“Whether or not a registrant is required to charge HST is largely determined by the Excise Tax Act, which is federal law. It includes a list of exemptions that exempt services that are provided by specific professionals. RPs do not appear on the list of professionals whose services are exempt from HST.”
